Jayden Hiatus is Over

Jayden was my college senor film, and was never fully finished. The scope I had back then was a little too big and not defined enough, especially for my very first 3D animation film. So since 2011, I took a break from the project, thought about things to improve, areas where the story and visuals could be strengthen. And now I'm ready to ride the 2nd wind I have for the film.

For the past week I have drawn up new storyboards, and have redesign the dream city to be less ambiguous and abstract. Here is two keyshots: the 1st is of the dream city and the 2nd is of the real word

The next step is for the next one or two weeks to clean up the two main character models in Maya and Zbrush, and add a new more robust curve-based facial rig. The new facial rig will allow for more character performance instead of the limited blendshape only facial setup I was using. Then after that it's onto the pre-viz stage. More is soon to come.
